[ITHACA, NY] Communiqué Design & Marketing, an Ithaca, NY design and marketing firm, secured this month a three-year contract with the Central Illinois Regional Airport in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois. The firm will provide marketing and advertising services to recruit, retain and enhance service at the airport. Central Illinois Regional Airport is located 135-miles south of Chicago and currently runs an average of 240,000 enplanements per year and the airport is looking to increase that by hiring Communiqué. Currently they have daily flights with AirTran Airways, American Eagle, Northwest Airlines, United Express and Delta Connection and expects to add additional service this summer.

It is because of Communiqué’s success with the Greater Binghamton Airport (agency of choice for over 4 years), that Central Illinois Regional Airport recruited the agency. Greater Binghamton had hit an all time high in enplanements in March 2005 due to Communiqué’s unique marketing strategy and advertising campaigns promoting Northwest, Delta, USAirways and United Express. The contract was announced at a public board meeting on January 12, 2006 at the Central Illinois Regional Airport. One of the board members stated, "I used to work in advertising and I have not seen such fresh and productive advertising in years, my vote is yes to bring this firm on." The board voted unanimously to retain Communiqué for this three-year contract.
