Laurie A. Linn Inducted into the NAPEW “Woman of Excellence” Registry

Ithaca, NY August 16, 2007 – The National Association of Professional and Executive Women (NAPEW) recognizes Laurie Linn, President of Communique Design & Marketing, Inc. for her commitment to excellence. Her induction into the “Women of Excellence” registry acknowledges her success and professional achievements.

Ms. Linn has an impressive background in marketing and it is her expertise in strategic marketing and advertising that enhances the services provided by her company. Communique Design & Marketing, Inc. represents every sector of small and midsized businesses, offering affordable marketing and advertising solutions. Ms. Linn specializes in the financial sector, retail, manufacturing, academia, service, high-tech and not-for-profit industries. In addition, she focuses on a companies’ strategic marketing and advertising including everything from branding to fully faceted integrated marketing programs.

As a leader who has been successful in her field for over 20 years, Ms. Linn attributes her personal and professional success to being a natural born leader, always aligning herself with the right people and hard work. The highlight of her career has been being honored in May 2007 as a “Distinguished Citizen of Tompkins County” by the Baden-Powell Boy Scouts of America and one of the “Top 20 Outstanding Women You Should Know”, sponsored by Cayuga Radio Group, she was chosen from hundreds of nominations in her community for her excellent service.

Ms. Linn is affiliated with many organizations including the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce and the Tompkins Cortland Community College Foundation Board. She performs charity work through many local charities as well as national charity work for St. Jude’s Hospital, raising a half million dollars with several other runners, running for children with cancer at the Marine Corps Marathon. Ms. Linn’s mother died of cancer at age 54 and she knows that her mother would be thrilled if just one child’s life could be saved because of her efforts.

In her spare time Laurie enjoys spending time with her husband Eric and daughter Gillian, sailing, traveling, and recreating year round in beautiful Ithaca, NY.
